Protecting Your Chocolates During Hot Weather
We take all necessary precautions with regards to high temparatures in order to provide our customers with the best possible service. Chocolate is highly sensitive to heat, and prolonged exposure to high temperatures can affect its appearance and texture. To help ensure your chocolates arrive in the best possible condition, we recommend:
- Opting for express delivery services, where they are available, to reduce the amount of time your order spends in transit.
- Selecting a delivery address where someone will be available to receive the parcel.
- Monitoring your tracking information and bringing your parcel indoors as soon as possible after delivery.
- Storing your chocolates in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and sources of heat.
- Advising gift recipients when a delivery is expected so that parcels are not left outside for extended periods.
In periods of exceptionally warm weather, we may adjust our dispatch schedules or temporarily suspend certain delivery methods to certain destinations to protect product quality.
At present, we are only dispatching our international orders Monday - Thursday to prevent orders being held in courier warehouses over the weekend. If you place an international order after 1pm on a Thursday, it will not be handed over to our delivery partners until the following Monday.
Where customers instruct a courier to leave a parcel unattended on a doorstep, Butlers Chocolates cannot accept responsibility for products affected by heat exposure, theft or damage following delivery.
